Lead Awareness - 2 Hours

This Lead Awareness Training course is designed to assist in providing an understanding of lead and its properties as well as how to minimize exposure during any activities that might disturb lead materials. Course topics include information on health risks associated with lead exposure, products & uses, state & federal regulations and work practices & personal hygiene.

Lead Safe Renovator - 8 Hours
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This course was developed by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to train renovation, repair, and painting contractors how to work safely in housing with lead-based paint and comply with EPA's Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule, and HUD's Lead Safe Housing Rule. Course topics include health effects associated with lead exposure, regulations, working safely with lead containing materials and record keeping. This course contains hands-on training activities.

Asbestos Awareness - 2 Hours
8 a.m. - 10 a.m.

Class IV work consists of housekeeping and custodial workers in contact with previously installed asbestos containing material and presumed asbestos containing material, and the cleaning up of any debris on construction sites. Class IV workers must be trained pursuant to the asbestos awareness program. This training includes information on health risks associated with asbestos exposure, respiratory compliance, glove bag removal techniques and cleaning regulations.

Asbestos AHERA Designated Person - 8 Hours
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

EPA requires schools to appoint an Asbestos Manager, called the "AHERA Designated Person" to be responsible for a number of asbestos-related activities, including the implementation of the plan for managing asbestos containing building materials (ACBM) in school buildings and compliance with the federal asbestos regulations. It is a comprehensive one-day course which follows the Model Accreditation Plan as outlined by the EPA. Course topics include health effects of asbestos, detection/identification/assessment of asbestos containing materials, options for controlling asbestos containing building materials, asbestos management programs and asbestos & related safety regulations. This course is designed to help the designated person understand his/her responsibilities and comply with the federal asbestos requirements.

Asbestos Operations & Maintenance - 16 Hours
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This training course is recommended strictly for educational purposes. This course outlines the health affects related to asbestos, safety, removal procedures, compliance issues, regulatory review and respirator guidelines. This course is highly recommended for any maintenance or custodial personnel who may be doing "Class III Asbestos Work".

Asbestos Operations & Maintenance Refresher - 3 Hours +
8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

This half-day annual update will include "new" local/state/federal regulation changes. Topics of review include health affects related to asbestos, safety, removal procedures, compliance issues, regulatory review and respirator guidelines. This course satisfies the training requirements for persons seeking to renew their Operation & Maintenance certification.

Asbestos Exterior Worker - 8 Hours
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This course teaches how to remove asbestos containing exterior building materials. Course topics include information on asbestos containing materials, health & safety, work practices for removal of asbestos material on the building exterior, clean up, waste handling & disposal and asbestos & related safety regulations.

Asbestos Exterior Supervisor - 16 Hours
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This course teaches how to supervise removal of non friable asbestos materials on the exterior of buildings, such as roofing and siding. Course topics include information on asbestos containing materials, health & safety, how to set up and remove non friable asbestos containing exterior building materials, clean up, project supervision, bulk material & air sampling methods, waste handling & disposal and asbestos & related safety regulations.

Asbestos Exterior Supervisor Refresher - 2 Hours
1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

This annual update will include "new" local/state/federal regulation changes. Topics of review include information on asbestos containing materials, health & safety, how to set up and remove non friable asbestos containing exterior building materials, clean up, project supervision, bulk material & air methods, waste handling & disposal and asbestos & related safety regulations. This course satisfies the training requirement for persons seeking to renew their asbestos exterior supervisor certification.

Asbestos Inspector Initial - 24 Hours
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This course was developed to provide guidance and assistance for those individuals who will conduct building inspections for the presence of asbestos containing materials. It is a comprehensive three-day course which follows the Model Accreditation Plan as outlined by the EPA. Topics include the background & characteristics of asbestos, potential health affects, functions/qualification/role of building inspectors, insurance & legal liabilities, understanding building systems, planning/work practices/procedures, bulk sampling & documentation, personal protective equipment, record keeping & reporting and state & federal regulations. Course includes extensive hands-on exercises.

Asbestos Inspector Refresher - 4 Hours

This course is designated for Class I & II workers. This course covers the basics for the removal and control of asbestos. It is a comprehensive four-day course which follows the Model Accreditation Plan as outlined by the EPA. Topics covered are personal protective equipment, health & safety, work practices, state and federal regulations. Course includes extensive hands-on exercises.

Asbestos Abatement Worker Refresher - 8 Hours
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This 1 day annual update will include "new" local/state/federal regulation changes. Topics of review include information on asbestos containing materials, health & safety, personal protective equipment, work practices, clean up, disposal and asbestos safety regulations. This course satisfies the training requirement for persons seeking to renew their asbestos worker certification.

Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor Initial - 40 Hours
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This course is designated for Class I & II Supervisors and Competent Persons. This course is designed for contractors and supervisors who will be managing abatement projects and supervising workers. It is a comprehensive five-day course which follows the Model Accreditation Plan as outlined by the EPA. Topics include personal protective equipment, work practices, safety & health, state & federal regulations, legal & insurance considerations and sampling procedures. Tabletop exercises include a "pre-bid walkthrough" utilizing specification books and blueprints. Course includes extensive hands-on exercises.
